Samsung recently boasted creating the largest ever 3D TV – coming in at a whopping 70 inches and a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. Not to be outdone, LG has picked up the gauntlet and announced the release of a new 72 inch 3D TV (59 inches wide and 40 inches tall) – now promising to be the world’s largest 3D TV. This model, the LG LZ9700, will hit stores in the first quarter of 2011 at an as yet undetermined price. At this size and resolution, home viewers are getting pretty close to a cinematic experience. As with other LG 3D TVs, the LG LZ9700 allows users to connect to the internet and view web content on its screen, and contains similar features to the other models in LG’s 3D TV line up.
